United Way
United Way of Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey was in need of an in-house creative to support the Marketing and Communications team by spearheading a brand refresh, update commonly-used collateral, and support company's mission and various initiatives under the United Way name.
I worked on a refreshed website design, new marketing materials, templates to promote efficiency and brand consistency, and art/creative directed the new branding for United Way's flagship event, OpportUNITY Summit. I've done this for United Way and its other initiatives such as The Promise.
UNITED WAY
At United Way of Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey, I joined the Marketing and Communications team as an in-house designer to lead a comprehensive brand refresh and enhance key collateral. My role focused on modernizing the organization’s visual identity and creating cohesive, impactful designs to support its mission and initiatives.
I redesigned the website, developed new marketing materials, and created templates to ensure brand consistency and improve workflow efficiency. I also led the creative direction for the branding of the organization's flagship event, OpportUNITY Summit, and contributed to other key initiatives like The Promise.
United Way required an efficient way to provide current and potential donors with updates on the initiatives undertaken throughout the year. In response, we developed a series of branded templates designed for quick adaptation to meet specific communication needs. Among these is the bi-annual "Leading The Way" newsletter, targeted specifically at UW board members, which summarizes key activities and accomplishments.
United Way: OpportUNITY Summit Event rebranding
For the 2024 OpportUNITY Summit, the UW Marketing and Communications team undertook the rebranding of the company’s annual flagship event to enhance its memorability and excitement. Collaborating with a local branding agency, we established a foundational concept that I used to further develop the event’s branding. I directed a team at an event planning company, focusing on the branding and creative requirements. My role included designing, editing, and providing feedback to ensure the 2024 OpportUNITY Summit was successful and set up for future events.
United Way: Tocqueville Society Donor Collateral
The United Way Tocqueville Society consists of donors who make substantial contributions to the organization's mission. Our objective was to create a refreshed set of high-quality collateral materials that would be sent to these dedicated donors on a quarterly basis.
United Way: The Promise Initiative
The Promise is a collaborative initiative based in Philadelphia aimed at reducing poverty and enhancing economic mobility within the community. By uniting community organizations, businesses, and government partners, The Promise seeks to create opportunities, deliver essential resources, and support programs designed to empower residents and fortify neighborhoods.
Since its inception, there has been a need to develop a cohesive brand identity that reflects the initiative’s mission and impact. To address this, we have crafted a comprehensive suite of advertisements, promotional collateral, and impactful reports. These materials not only highlight The Promise’s efforts but also demonstrate its significant contributions to the city of Philadelphia and its commitment to supporting those in need.
